HOW IT STARTED
It started when I was 15, working at a country club with zero interest in the game. I was only there for the paycheck, until I met someone who changed everything. He took the time to teach me the game for free, purely out of love for it.
Once I started playing, I rotated the same two polos because golf clothes were expensive. He noticed and made a joke about it, the way a grandfather would. A few days later, his wife showed up with a box of his old golf clothing and handed it to me. I didn't know what to say.
That moment stayed with me.
